My mail this week so far. Well actually, the envelope with the blue stamp arrived on Friday, so did the postcard with the heron. Those two are great for comparing how post is being handled. The envelope doesn’t have a smugde, not a scratch, not a bent corner. It has, in fact, not even been cancelled. The postcard, however, has parts of the backside ripped off, for no apparent reason at all. Both of these arrived the same day so it was a strange contrast.
The postcard with the world on is pretty fantastic, I know that the person who sent me this one doesn’t know how fascinated I am by space and how much time I’ve spent watching the ISS livestream. The card even has one of those round global stamps that I showed you in the last post! Amazing!
The other one is from a friend in Sweden, who I suspect wanted to remind me that I need to send him a letter. It’s funny that it took me 24 years to get a postcard of the royal family, so I’m very happy about it! That’s our Crown Princess Victoria and her husband Prince Daniel, by the way.
As for the heron postcard, the sender has taken the photo for it, which I find fantastic, I want to take pictures like that!

I’m so happy I finally got a stamp like this, you have no idea. I saw them a while ago because almost every letter blog I follow has been posting about them, and I wasn’t actually sure if they were for international mail to begin with. Anyway, I feel a bit weird asking people to put certain stamps on my mail because..I don’t know, I don’t want to be an extra hassle! So when I got this without asking for it, it really made me smile :D
Yesterday I also got some very exiting mail from Hong Kong!

Oh and there was a book sale when I went downtown today. Ended up buying The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry by Rachel Joyce. I’ve heard a lot of good things about it, and it’s quite different from what I usually read. It’ll be a nice change!
