..and hello 2013!
At this time of the year I will usually look back on the year that’s passed and talk a bit about what I expect from the next one.
2012 was a weird year. I went from being very damaged to healing with the help of amazing friends and colleagues. I went from being rather lost, to finding myself again. I went from denying myself to being who I want to be, or at least I put myself on the right path. I started writing again, because I stopped being ashamed of it.
During 2012 I read 14,652 book pages (add about 250 to that seeing as I’m about to finish a book that I haven’t registered on Goodreads yet). I call that a productive year!
Favourites:
Books: Fahrenheit 451 and The Crystal Cave.
Movies: Brave and Parked (the latter could be seen on film festivals in 2010-2011 but wasn’t released to the general public until 2012, therefore I count it.)
TV-series I discovered: Modern Family and Merlin (The final episode of Merlin aired on Christmas Eve, so that one’s over)
Music I discovered: Death Cab for Cutie, Imagine Dragons, Tyrone Wells, Petra Marklund and about 50 more that made me wonder why I’m so out of touch with the music world.
Food: Microwave almond bread, hands down!
I have so many good memories. I specifically remember a summer day, sitting in the park with two friends, eating sushi. It was a brilliant day. I remember one day when I sat on a roof with two other friends, in the sun, and I felt really happy in a way I didn’t know I could feel.
I’ve had so many moments where I’ve felt at peace during the last 6 months, and it shows that it’s possible. That alone gives me hope.
I think a good way to sum this year up is by saying that I’ve learned a lot.
For 2013 I hope for small things only. That I keep going uphill from here, and that I get to go to the UK. I also hope to read more brilliant books, write more letters, and meet more people. I’ll make this year count.
Oh, and I realised I never uploaded that picture I promised you on Christmas Eve. Here it is :)

I wish you all a HAPPY NEW YEAR!
